Pre-development testing was carried out at a location to the south-eastern edge of Milltown Malbay in the townland of Leagard South due to concerns burials associated with the adjacent graveyard may extend beyond the boundary wall. Test trenches were excavated to determine if this was the case. Six linear test trenches were excavated across the footprint of proposed development. Apart from the boundary wall of the existing Church of Ireland graveyard, NIAH 20300609, that abuts this site, no other features of archaeological or historical significance have been identified within the footprint of proposed development.
