Test-trenching was carried out in advance of a quarry extension north-east of CL057-036, a ringfort. The testing revealed that, despite severe truncation, several ditches and at least one pit survive on the site. Although these features are currently undated, a prehistoric chert scraper was recovered indicating some activity of this period on the site. Full excavation is recommended.
