An archaeological assessment was carried out at the site of a quarry extension at Gortnaderryleagh and Tonyquin, south of Swanlinbar, Co. Cavan. The area was assessed through the excavation of approximately 696 linear metres of test trench by mechanical excavator under supervision, which included testing of geophysical anomalies identified in the previous survey and any areas previously unavailable/unsuitable for geophysical survey. No archaeological features or artefacts were recorded at the site.
