An assessment was carried out at the site of the proposed IT Carlow Sports Campus, a 12.7ha green-field site in Mortarstown Upper, Co. Carlow. A geophysical survey of the site (16R0028) was carried out followed by targeted test trenching. A total of 22 trenches were mechanically excavated across the site under archaeological supervision. No archaeological material was recorded in any of the trenches.
