Monitoring of a topsoil strip (watching brief) at the location of two polesets that are situated in close proximity (approximately 100m) to recorded archaeology was undertaken in one day at Granagh, Rasharkin, County Antrim. The single poles have a ground footprint of approximately 2m x 1m. Trenches were excavated by mini digger fitted with a toothless ditching bucket. Nothing of archaeological significance was identified in either of the test trenches.
