Five test trenches were excavated across the footprint of the development site. Nothing of archaeological or historical interest was encountered in the course of the test excavation.
It was recommended that the Holy Well site, WX029-023, a recorded national monument be fenced off from the main development area, prior to construction works commencing and allowing a sufficient buffer between the well site and the development. The monument would not be tampered with in the course of the development works and this area would not be used to store materials associated with the construction works.
