A number of test trenches were excavated over the footprint of the proposed new Teleflex building and car park area. The site is located at the IDA Athlone Business and Technology Park, Garrycastle, Dublin Road, Co. Westmeath. WM-029-025 (castle/tower-house site) is located approximately 80m north-west of the development site. Nothing of archaeological significance was identified during testing.
