Monitoring was carried out during pipe laying for the Ballinagard Rising Main water scheme to the west and south of Roscommon town. Only the greenfield sections of the scheme were monitored, in three locations west of the town, where 20m-wide wayleaves were stripped of topsoil. Monitoring did not reveal any archaeological features, deposits or finds.
