Testing in advance of the construction of a dwelling house was carried out on 10 April 2015 at Pollower, Boyle, Co. Roscommon. The development site is within the ‘The Plains of Boyle’ and occupies an elevated, north-facing ridge with views towards Lough Key. There are a two recorded monuments in an adjacent field to the east classified as a mound barrow and ring barrow respectively (RO006-135001 & 135002). Testing involved the excavation of five trenches that exposed a natural stratigraphy. No finds or features indicative of archaeological potential were noted.
