A planning application for c. 376 dwellings along with a crèche/healthcare centre on a site of 21.28ha has necessitated an Archaeological Assessment including testing. The development lands have been the subject of previous assessments and testing during 2004 (04E1325) under planning application TA 40062. However two small fields at the southern end of the development lands were not tested during 2004 and were subsequently tested under licence 15E0217. There are no recorded monuments within the development lands. The testing and associated assessments revealed no archaeological remains or finds of heritage interest. There are no buildings of architectural or of cultural merit within the development site.
