Test trenching was carried out at a pre-planning stage for a proposed single dwelling with associated groundworks at Courtown, Meadstown, Dunderry, Co. Meath on behalf of Mr Gerry Comaskey, 18/19 Harcourt House, Harcourt Street, Dublin 2. The site is located beside the site of ME030-010, a Religious House (Franciscan Friary).
Three trenches were excavated within the site of the proposed dwelling and its associated groundworks. No archaeological features or deposits were located within the footprint of the proposed dwelling and it is considered unlikely that any deposits or features exist elsewhere on the site.
