An excavation was carried out on a brownfield site prior to the development of a new school and facilities in urban Dundalk. Two small pits with remnants of medieval pottery were encountered. Additionally, a metalled surface believed to be post-mediaeval in date was also encountered. This surface contained various pits, trenches and features believed to of late 19th /early 20th-century date.
