Excavation were undertaken in atrocious weather in advance of the construction of a house and garage following test trenching, which supposedly revealed archaeological features beneath the footprint of the proposed house. The supposed features beneath the house proved all to be of natural origin but a pit and curving slot trench found beneath the footprint of the proposed garage may have been of medieval date but contained no datable finds.
