An assessment was carried out at Donadea Forest Park, Naas, Co. Kildare, approximately 30m south of Donadea Castle (KD009-015). The proposed construction works were a waste water treatment system for a nearby coffee shop, including the construction of a temporary access road close to the southern side of the castle and tower. Four trenches totalling 50m were excavated within the site. Topsoil extended to a depth of 0.45-0.9m, and one trench revealed the spreading of builders’ rubble to level the ground. No archaeological features were uncovered.
