Monitoring of foundation works was undertaken during the construction of six pylons as part of realignment of an existing overhead line. While there are no recorded sites in the immediate vicinity of the pylon locations a number of archaeological features were previously uncovered by Aidan Harte in Kilpaddoge townland to the north during monitoring of a cable route (Excavations 2013:531). Nothing of archaeological significance was noted during monitoring of the pylon foundations.
