Test excavations were undertaken at Clogherclemin, Tralee, Co. Kerry with regard to a planning application to construct an inert waste facility. The proposed development site comprising 3.69ha is situated on poor land on the terminal slopes of the Stack Mountains. Eighteen linear test excavation trenches (T1 -T18), comprising a total of c.1600m in length, were opened across the entirety of the PDS with negative results.
