The project consisted of the laying of just over 2km of watermain in the existing road network. Four separate sections of pipeline were included, one in Headford village and three in and around the small village of Clooneen, just over 2km to the south, off the N84 road. Works took place in the townlands of Headford, Cloghanower and Clooneen. Monitoring of pipe laying was undertaken sporadically between August and September 2015. No archaeological features or deposits were encountered.
