Monitoring of site preparation/trench excavation works associated with the construction of a Temporary Classroom Development at Scoil Chronáin National School, Main Street, Rathcoole, Co. Dublin was undertaken in compliance the Grant of Planning. The site is located within the Urban Zone of Archaeological Potential (ZAP) established for Rathcoole (SMR: DU021-080), although there are no previously recorded archaeological monuments or features located within, or in the general environs of, the site. No subsurface features or deposits of archaeological interest and/or potential were uncovered, and no artefacts of archaeological interest were recovered, during the course of the works.
