The proposed development area lies approximately 1.6km north-west of Finglas Village, opposite (east of) St Mary’s Orthopedic Hospital at Cappagh Road, Finglas, Dublin 11. The proposal comprises a mixed-use development (housing & nursing home) on a green field site. The site had been disturbed by construction traffic and storage from adjacent developments. Eight test trenches totalling 550m were excavated within the site. No archaeological finds or features were uncovered during the assessment phase.
