Unlicensed monitoring took place of the excavation of all ground works associated with the development of a single-storey dwelling and the re-location of an existing shed and associated site works. The monitoring was carried out on behalf of Maccullin and Ann Skelly in fulfillment of archaeological planning conditions (planning ref: F15A/003) on 10 & 11 August 2015. All groundworks associated with the proposed new dwelling and relocation of a shed were monitored. The monitoring concluded that the site of the proposed new dwelling was devoid of archaeology. The natural subsoil was exposed within the western half of the site and high levels of ground disturbance associated with previous development was noted in the eastern part of the site close to the road. No features or deposits were identified and no finds were recovered.
