An archaeological evaluation was carried out prior to the proposed construction of 8 residential dwellings on lands west of the Main Street, Scarva.
Three test trenches were excavated across the area of the site. A single layer of topsoil was removed from the trenches. This ranged in depth from 0.3-0.8m and directly overlay subsoil which was an orange/brown glacial till.
No evidence of any archaeological deposits was identified during the course of the evaluation.
