An archaeological evaluation was conducted prior to the proposed construction of a poultry house on lands approximately 140m north-east of 170 Dromore Road, Craigavon. The site is directly adjacent to DOW 020:011, identified as an enclosure on the SMR.
Two test trenches, approximately 1.8m wide, were excavated using a back-acting machine, fitted with a toothless bucket. The topsoil, which was on average 0.3m, thick consisted of a greyish brown slightly clayey silt and overlay an orangey red sandy clay subsoil.
No evidence of any archaeological deposits was identified during the course of the evaluation.
