Monitoring of site re-instatement works took place over a period of five days in July 2015.  In 2011 ground works at the site involving some topsoil stripping and excavation for a roadway were undertaken without planning permission.  The site is located adjacent to a fulacht fiadh site, DG97-040 and in the vicinity of Cats Castle DG97-015004 and St Catherine's Well, DG97-015003.  The current works involved monitoring the levelling of topsoil heaps on the site and the monitoring of topsoil being re-instated throughout the site.  Metal detecting of the topsoil was also undertaken (Consent 15R0054).  Nothing of archaeological significance was encountered in the course of monitoring and metal detecting.
