Archaeological monitoring was undertaken during ground works associated with an extension to an existing modern mill on the western outskirts of Drinagh village, Co. Cork. The former location of a standing stone (CO120-056001-) is shown in a field to the east of the development area on the first edition 6-inch map. This area is now occupied by a modern yard and no traces of the standing stone were noted by the Cork Archaeological Survey in the 1980s. The ground levels throughout the development area were found to have been reduced down into the natural subsoil by the construction of the existing concrete yard. Nothing of archaeological significance was encountered.
