Monitoring was carried out of groundworks for Phase 2 of an extension to Ennistimon Community Hospital which occupies the site of Ennistymon Union Workhouse. An earlier phase of extension to the hospital was carried out in 2013-4 and subject to unlicensed monitoring. Nothing of archaeological significance was found in either phase of work.
