Pre-development test trenching was carried out at the site of a proposed residential development at lands to east of and including No. 10 Novally Road, Ballycastle, Co Antrim in response to a request for more information from DOE: Historic Environment Division under Planning Policy PPS6 BH3. The proposed development is located within close proximity to Ramoan Old Church and graveyard, ANT008:014, of medieval ecclesiastic origin situated c.50m to the west. Test trenching has confirmed that no archaeological deposits associated with the monument or other activity survive within the boundaries of the development area.
