An archaeological evaluation was carried out prior to the proposed construction of a replacement dwelling at 212 Lisnevenagh Road, Antrim. The proposed development site is located immediately south of the rath ANT 044:074.

A total of 8 trenches were excavated using a back-acting machine fitted with a toothless bucket. The principle purpose of the evaluation was to identify the potential location of a rath ditch within the site. No evidence of the ditch was identified and it appears likely that it was/is located beneath the existing farm buildings located at the northern end of the development site.

No evidence of any other archaeological features was identified during the course of the evaluation.
