An assessment was carried out at Emly NS, Emly, Co. Tipperary in advance of an extension to the side of the existing primary school on a play area currently under tarmacadam. Two trenches totalling 30m were excavated within the site. Topsoil extended to a depth of 0.5-0.8m with scattered inclusions of builders’ rubble. No archaeological features were uncovered.
