Monitoring of groundworks was undertaken at the request of Wexford County Council at Vinegar Hill, Templeshannon, Enniscorthy. Monitoring was necessary as the council were undertaking works to upgrade the existing network of paths which form trails around Vinegar Hill. Vinegar Hill is the location of one of the pivotal battles of the United Irishmen rebellion of 1798.

Monitoring was carried out at various dates from April to July 2014. No archaeological features were identified but a selection of artefacts were recovered, most notably four musket balls, scraps of lead, buttons and a coin.
