Ballyorril 2 was located on the proposed M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy scheme, Co. Wexford. The site was situated in flat damp pasture. The excavation revealed an Early Bronze Age trough and burnt stone spread. The oval trough measured 1.5m by 1.1m and was up to 0.28m deep with steep sides and a fairly flat base. The trough was dated to the 22nd to 21st centuries BC. The burnt stone spread, which had maximum dimensions of 1.7m by 1.5m and 0.13m thick, was disturbed by root activity.
