Planning permission was sought for a private two-storey dwelling in the townland of Ballyvellon, near Dunhill, Co. Waterford. The site fronts the roadside, on the opposite side of the road to the erstwhile location of a possible three RMP sites. None of monuments survive. The assessment was requested as further information on which permission was contingent.

The soil horizon was similar across the field; with on average 0.3m of brown sandy silt. One engineers’ test pit was also examined, showing the depth of the boulder clay in the B horizon reaches some 3m without encountering bedrock. No archaeological finds or features were disturbed by the trenches. The land is under tillage for as long as the owner remembers. Two surface finds of 19th/20th-century pottery sherds, one willow pattern, one the shoulder of a whisky jar, were not retained.
