The five-turbine wind farm is located at Inishative, Crannogue and Sluggan townlands, approximately 4.2km south-west of Pomeroy in County Tyrone. Development works associated with the construction of the wind farm consisted of the excavation of new access tracks and the upgrading of existing site tracks, excavation of five crane hardstand areas, a sub-station building, a site compound and a meteorological mast. The development received planning permission for the construction of six turbines, but one (Turbine 1) was not erected.

Fieldwork took place intermittently between 16 September and 11 November 2014. Monitoring took 23.5 days in total to complete, and all excavation was carried out by machines fitted with flat grading buckets.

On all occasions monitoring revealed peat sealing in situ geologically deposited strata. No archaeological features or artefacts were revealed.
