This feature was exposed during monitoring of the construction of a windfarm fro Bord Gáis. The hearths dimensions were 0.64m x 0.48m x 0.2m and contained two contexts. There were no associated features and no artefacts were found during excavation. Samples were taken for analysis and a fragment of bone thought to be animal was found by a specialist to be possibly human. The charcoal yielded identified hazel which when dated gave a range of 1921-1746 BC (OxCal 95.4%).
