Unlicensed monitoring carried out prior to the construction of a new primary care medical centre located on the Dublin Road, Kells, Co. Meath between 13 and 27 March 2014. The site appears to have been subject to topsoil stripping a number of years ago and contained a number of mounds of topsoil from this earlier phase of works. In the intervening years the site has become overgrown and a very thin layer of dark organic matter has formed. It generally appears that the site has been subject to high levels of ground disturbance including high levels of disturbance of the natural ground below the original topsoil.
No archaeological features or deposits were identified and it appears that no archaeological features were disturbed during the original top soil stripping of the site a number of years ago.
