Stage (i) testing was undertaken in advance of the N51-R164 Junction at Ballyboy, Co Meath on 5 June 2014.
A previous programme of Stage (i) testing was undertaken in the townlands of Ballyboy, Gillstown Great, Curleyland and Mill Land, Co. Meath (Roycroft, 2013; licence ref.: 13E209). One site of archaeological significance, Curleyland and Mill land 1, was identified as part of this testing which was excavated as part of this phase of works (Moraghan 2014, licence ref.: 14E175).
A total of 196 linear metres of trenches were excavated which equates to 13% of Field 3. No sites of archaeological significance were identified.
