Monitoring of works associated with the Freshford Waste Water Treatment Scheme at Freshford, Co. Kilkenny was undertaken in September 2014 on foot of the recommendation of an archaeological impact assessment. The works comprised the construction of an access road, waste water treatment plant, outfall and pumping station. Topsoil removal associated with these works was monitored and no archaeological finds, features or deposits were uncovered.
