Moore Group was commissioned to carry out a programme of monitoring of topsoil stripping prior to the extension of a quarry, on behalf of the client Arkil Quarry, at Drinnanstown South, Rathangan, Co. Kildare. The work was carried out on 26 and 27 May 2014 using a 20 tonne track machine with a flat ditching bucket. The stripped area measured 200m in length north-south and between 12 – 24m in width. No features of archaeological significance were encountered during this work.
