Monitoring associated with the construction of a 16-turbine wind farm and testing associated with the erection of a metrological mast in the townland of Cloghboola in north Kerry was undertaken over a number of months in 2014. Monitoring took place of ground disturbance associated with the excavations for turbine bases, crane stands and the substation. No features of archaeological significance were encountered in the course of monitoring. Testing associated with the erection of a metrological mast on the site was undertaken in October 2014. The excavation of four trenches (40-50m in length) in the area of the access road and mast revealed no features of archaeological significance.
