An archaeological assessment was carried out of an area that had be cleared without archaeological supervision. The area was cleared back identifying features and artefacts of archaeological significance. All these features were recorded and the pottery is with the ceramic specialist. It was recommended that the area be fully excavated prior to any further works being carried out on site in order to ascertain the full extent of the archaeology.
