The development area consisted of a relatively small vacant plot located on the western side of Redmond’s Hill, Dublin 2. Testing was required as a condition of planning and this was carried out in 2012 under licence 12E0232 (Excavations 2012:218). The presence of reinforced concrete slab across the northern part of the development area limited the extent of the trenches that could be excavated. No features of archaeological significance were identified during the course of works. However, it was recommended that archaeological be carried out during further ground works. No features of archaeological significance were identified during the course of archaeological monitoring.
