Monitoring was carried out during ground works associated with a residential development at Thormanby Road, Howth, County Dublin. The area under development consisted of four fields under pasture with an adjoining area of woodland that was preserved in situ. All topsoil stripping was carried out under supervision. No features of archaeological significance were identified during the course of the monitoring; however two retouched flint tools of prehistoric date (Neolithic/early Bronze Age) were retrieved from the topsoil.
