Test trenching of the site of a new school was carried out in November 2014 following geophysical survey. A total of eleven test trenches with a length of 1525 linear meters were excavated using a 2m-wide grading bucket. Topsoil was 0.3-0.6m deep (max) and overlaid compact brownish yellow clay subsoil. No archaeological material was observed in topsoil. No archaeological features were identified within the tested area.
