Monitoring was carried out at the development site in early 2014. The site was largely overgrown with gorse and dense vegetation but also had two derelict houses which were subsequently demolished as part of the development. Large granite boulders were found beneath the topsoil across the entire development site. No finds or features of archaeological significance were noted in the course of monitoring.
