Monitoring of ground works associated with the South Campshire Flood Alleviation Scheme at George’s Quay, City Quay and Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Dublin 2 commenced in October 2012. The work consists of a new flood defence system, approximately 1km in length, located on the south campshires of the River Liffey. The flood defence takes different forms at several sections over its length including quality concrete finish walls, granite cladding wall, raised parapets and waterproofing of existing buildings along the campshires. George’s Quay, City Quay and Sir John Rogerson's Quay are recorded monuments DU018-020-201, DU018-020-458 and DU018-020-479; the proposed flood protection works will not come into contact or impact upon these monuments. Monitoring of works is still on going and will conclude in 2015.
