Monitoring was carried out during the construction of a new entrance into Marino Institute of Education, Griffith Avenue, Dublin 9. The programme of monitoring was recommended in a desktop assessment (Tobin 2014), which was carried out in response to planning conditions attached by Dublin City Council (Planning Ref.: 3226/09) and An Bord Pleanála (Ref.: PL 29N.234636).
The removal of part of the boundary wall, and the topsoil strip associated with the new avenue wayleave was monitored. No deposits or structures of archaeological significance were uncovered.
