Monitoring was carried out in association with a proposed two storey extension to the rear of No. 2 New Row, Chapelizod, Dublin 20. Monitoring was undertaken in response to archaeological conditions attached to the proposed development by Dublin City Council (Planning Ref.: WEB1034/14).
No archaeological features or deposits were located during ground works associated with the development of the extension. Excavation was not required as the existing extension footing is to be used for the new extension. This consists of the plinth of made ground. No further archaeological mitigation is deemed necessary in association with the development.
