Monitoring was was carried out on the premises of Mulligan’s Pub, 8/9 Poolbeg Street, Dublin 2 on 10 November 2014. The programme of works was undertaken by Faith Bailey and David McIlreavy in fulfilment of planning conditions attached to the development (Planning Ref.: 3757/13).
The development consisted of the demolition of a toilet block and external fire escape stairs to the rear of the premises. The demolition works were monitored, along with the removal of the existing floor slab. No features of archaeological significance were uncovered during the course of monitoring.
