An archaeological evaluation was carried out prior to the proposed construction of a house on lands opposite No. 32 Church Road, Crossgar. The proposed development site extends along the east side adjacent to the souterrain-ware findspot DOW 030:042.
A series of 7 test trenches were excavated across the proposed development site using a machine fitted with a toothless bucket.
No archaeological deposits/features were identified during the course of the evaluation.
