Test trenching took place in December 2014 on the route of the proposed N73 Annakisha Bridge Realignment Scheme in the townlands of Cooldurragha, Dromsiveen, Annakisha , Mountrussell, Annakisha North, Annakisha South, Grandy, Clenor South, Powerstown and Ballygown. This scheme subsumes a previous scheme on which testing took place in 2012 (see entries 2012:100 & 2012:102). Testing revealed three previously unknown sites and revealed further features at an existing site:

Annakisha South 1: two small spreads of blackish dark brown silt with angular, heat-shattered stones and charcoal;

Annakisha South 2 Area A contained features relating to vernacular structures and a boundary ditch; Annakisha South 2 Area B contained a pit; Annakisha South 2 Area C contained possible vernacular remains;

Clenor South 1 had a late medieval ditched enclosure and Clenor South 2 a ring-ditch and charcoal rich features. Clenor South 1 is an extension to a previous excavation (entry 2012:101).
