Monitoring of ground disturbance associated with road widening, sub-station, hardstands, turbine bases, grid connection and storage area was undertaken at the site of a two-turbine windfarm in Carrownawellaun townland in west county Clare. The site is located c. 100 east of a ring fort (CL065:018). No features of archaeological significance were encountered in the course of monitoring with natural layers uncovered below the topsoil.
